Brief
Our brief was to design and build a duplex that was not an obvious duplex from street view and to ensure that each boasted their own individual inclusions and style.
Unique Aspects
What we love most about these homes is that from the street, you don’t feel like you are looking at a duplex. They have been designed to sit really well on the block, are spacious and very well appointed. These are beautiful homes that have a real family feel to them.
Story
The original home on the property had been in the family for a very long time, so there was sentimental attachment in letting the original house go to make way for the modern duplex. One of the duplexes was to house a growing family, the other was their mother. It was exciting to be able to design and work with each client to meet their individual needs and requirements. No job comes without some complexities and this one was no different. There was a comprehensive council process to comply with very stringent flood and bushfire controls, which we dealt with accordingly.
