Coming from two generations of builders in his family, Paul has worked in the residential building industry for 20 years. Completing formal building qualifications in 1999, Paul has since compiled a wealth of experience building here on the Northern Beaches. From a practical and hands on trade background, he has developed an interest and focus on the practical application of green living principles. This environmental focus touches most areas of Peninsula Homes work from the initial design, through the use of appropriate materials (many of which are recycled) all the way to helping home owners on how to best use the well designed features of their new home.
Paul’s genuine love of building always shows through and together with his calm and considered approach to his work means that issues are solved without fuss, well before they develop into a problem. He’s also passionate about health and fitness, recently competing in his first marathon! Happily married to Danielle for 15 years, Paul has two young daughters, Ayla 8 and Mia 6.
Steve Gibson started his career in carpentry at the age of 16, completing an apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery. In over 30 years Steve has gone from carpenters apprentice to supervisor, project manager, site manager and builder. He has subcontracted to various builders in the Sydney metropolitan area working on an array of custom designed homes and working on the Northern Beaches for the past 20 years. Steve has proven himself as an exceptional builder with an eye for detail and many satisfied clients. This has given him the confidence to team up with Paul Ackling and run a successful business on Northern Beaches building quality homes.
Steve’s a family man, happily married to his lovely wife Marg for 24 years with 3 energetic boys aged 19, 17 and 15. They all love the great outdoors and enjoy camping, water skiing and a spot of fishing.
From a career in sales and administration management within the cosmetics industry, Nicole would never have dreamed that she would work in the building business. But after more than five years with Peninsula Homes, she is very much at home with all the building processes and technical jargon. A super organised person by nature, Nicole not only manages our office but also provides amazing creative input into our social media and website. Often the first person that people speak to when they call our office, Nicole has a huge role in the success of each home.

Our carpentry apprentice Tim is currently in his 3rd year of studies. We really value a professional attitude and work ethic. Tim provides these attributes in spades. Able to turn his hand to whatever is required on the building site, he is developing into a highly skilled and knowledgeable carpenter in his own right. A smart, well spoken young man with a big future in building.
