We’ve received this award over three years in 2023, 2018 and 2017, and as a finalist in 2024 and 2020. It’s a benchmark that we’re beyond proud to be a part of.
Consistently winning in the Design & Construct category showcases our diligence in elevating the standards of designing and bespoke craftsmanship. Every home has been designed and built, from the ground up, by our team.
Our projects are mindfully centred around affordable designs on fixed-price contracts; an elevated experience that delivers unique designs through a transparent process.

Originally from Argentina, our clients sought a home that reflected the style and ambience of their homeland: off-form concrete, expansive glazing, and clean lines.
This concept was infused throughout the build, taking into account the budget and compliance with development planning rules. We also incorporated the sprawling Spotted Gum tree, whose canopy covered the site.
Energy efficiency was achieved through carefully planned details: calibrated rear eave size provides shade for the large north-facing windows during summer, installation of uPVC double-glazed windows and doors, and a motorised pergola that offers shade in summer and brings sunlight into the kitchen and living area.
Sophisticated lighting design compliments the dropped ceilings, custom cove details, and the right LED wattage, resulting in a perfect ambience.
As this home settles into the street, our clients are transforming it into a true family home.
“After completing the construction of our dream home with Peninsula, we can confidently say that we would eagerly undertake another five projects with them. Their dedication, professionalism, and passion are truly exceptional, and we can’t recommend them highly enough. Paul and Steve, the dynamic team leading our project, have been outstanding in managing every aspect with precision and efficiency.”

The view flows, effortlessly, from this low-maintenance family home across to Manly Wharf.
With a busy family life, our clients were looking for a refined, understated home with an unobtrusive streetscape.
Materials and ongoing maintenance were carefully considered, beginning with a suspended slab construction. The structure provided thermal mass to capture the morning sun, while the large rear eave shaded much of the afternoon westerly heat.
With three teenage boys, a double-brick ground floor was chosen to absorb noise and keep the temperature cooler during summer.
Family life and entertaining are now greatly enjoyed in the curated spaces, with the understated and stylish streetscape adding to the timeless design of the home.
This generational custom home build was created with a family in mind; a brief that we met and exceeded.
“When I spoke to Paul at the start of our build, I said all I want is a solid family home where people feel welcomed …. a home, not a show house. I think the team at Peninsula have delivered this in spades. It is difficult to put into words but the home (holistically) is my favourite part of the build”

Every corner of this stunning home, positioned at the headland of North Curl Curl, captures a blissful view of the Pacific Ocean.
Engaged in modifying and bringing to life a DA-approved architectural home, we energetically rose to meet the needs of our clients Paul and Caroline, continuously exchanging ideas throughout the process.
Prioritizing function and energy efficiency, this family home combined exposed concrete, structural steel and spotted gum timbers to create a stunning external facade.
With highly considered landscaping the finished home met the brief, and gave our clients a harmonious building experience.
“We felt that overall, all the Peninsula crew went above and beyond, making the team easy to work with and ensuring the whole process was enjoyable, not just the end result. There were many design inputs which we believe really added to the house”.

John and Jane wanted a forever home, one with a relaxed and easy feel that took full advantage of the coastal views to the north and south.
From functional to inspired, the light-filled and open home connects with the outside from every room, truly capturing one of the many highlights of the Northern Beaches landscape.
On a fixed-price contract, this affordable home used considered design applications and was built under the Complying Development rules in 8 short months.
With a shared vision, we were honoured to build yet another dream home.
“Peninsula Homes has designed and built a quality home to a tight budget on a fixed-price contract. The home has been designed to take in the spectacular water views from many areas. Exceptional finishes, both externally and internally. Carpentry works were undertaken by in-house craftsmen with excellent execution. Great value for money.”

2017 - EXCELLENCE IN HOUSING AWARD
DESIGN & CONSTRUCT CATEGORY
$750,000 - $1M
The opportunities to transform this sloping site were endless, encouraged by the captivating views of Manly and Sydney CBD.
Fran and David were looking for a subtle streetscape, one that sat comfortably on the block, opening up in the back to take in the views.
A constant exchange of ideas between us and the clients allowed us to explore designs; adaptation, flexibility, and clear communication were key.
The result was a unique design, with elements used in different and unique ways. An eclectic mix of new and recycled materials brought the old and the new together, creating something outstanding.
Harbour Bridge scaffolding timbers were fashioned into a floating shelf, a giant floor-standing mirror, and a pendant light above the dining room table. Recycled bricks created a spine wall through the home, and light voids above the kitchen and stairwell let natural light spill into the living areas.
A lot of thought has gone into this house to accommodate the needs of the client, the budget, and the steep site. Full of great ideas to save space and make some rooms multi-functional to fit the family’s needs, a high standard of finish was maintained all the way through.”
