Why Us?

We Get It

Why can building a new home seem so daunting? Maybe it’s because builders have a reputation for underestimating the true time and cost it takes to build a new home and for not understanding exactly what the client wants.

We care about creating a home that you’ll love living in. We listen. If something’s really important to you – we deliver it. We include realistic costs for all the elements of the project so your home comes in on budget. We build what you want, not what we want to build. Small distinction – big difference. Why? Because pride in building is in our blood. We inherited it through two generations of family builders. So when we say something, we own it.

So if you want to actually enjoy the experience of building a new home, talk to us.
Don’t be shocked when we turn up on time, and when we do what we say we’ll do. It comes standard

When you speak, we pay attention, we listen. Then, once we establish your individual needs and requirements for your new Northern Beaches home, our team set about creating a home that will exceed your expectations.

We also care about the outcome of your home. This care is a rich vein that runs through every detail of your home and continues right through the build until you are moved in and settled.

We take ownership of the entire process. We are glad to have all the responsibilities of design, specification, construction and finishes on our shoulders because this is how we make the project come together in a seamless way. It is for these reasons that we see past clients coming back to build their second home with Peninsula Homes.

Yes. Each proposal from Peninsula Homes is inclusive of all items that are needed for our clients to move into their new home. This is not just limited to the items you can see such as; carpets, driveways and fly screens but also includes those “behind the scenes” items like; engineer inspections, Geotech reports and adequate insulation.

Peninsula Homes will also make you aware of any other costs that could be associated with your new build. These could be items such as; council fees and levies, private certification costs and utility connections.

Yes. Unless you specifically ask to complete the demolition yourself, it will be included in our proposal.

We believe it is unrealistic to have to lock in all your selections upfront. Instead, we allow for a specification level that suits your requirements and your budget. Then, as the process unfolds, we are there to guide and help you make selections at appropriate times. This allows you to see and feel the spaces of your new home before committing to inclusions and finishes that you may want to change.

The Northern Beaches offers a diverse landscape, therefore, each home owner and each block of land is individual. That’s why we don’t have standard designs, but design each home to make the best use of the blocks natural aspects and to be able to provide client specific features. Each home is also designed to comply with local councils specific rules and regulations. This means that these rules are taken into account from the beginning of the design process to maximise results, rather than cutting back an existing design just to make it fit.

A kitchen is one of the main focal points of a home and we understand that every client uses their kitchen in different ways. Your kitchen will be given the care and attention it deserves in our process. You will be included in the kitchen design process with your own input into our design suggestions. These designs are amended and reviewed until we have a kitchen that meets your every possible need.

Simply call us on (02) 9997 7248 to speak to Paul or Nicole and organise a suitable time or contact us via email at info@peninsulahomes.com.au if that’s easier for you. Generally, the first meeting is at your property so that we can see the site and best understand your needs.

Absolutely. We encourage maximum communication at all times during the building process and you are certainly welcome to visit site whenever it is safe for you to do so. We are stringent about following OHS guidelines on our building sites.

We are only ever a phone call away. We are always happy to discuss anything that’s on your mind during the construction process. If needed, we will arrange a time on site to go through your questions, or they may only require a solution by talking over the phone. We encourage clients at all times to maintain open & honest communication. It’s how we like to do business.

Inevitably, this will happen from time to time. You fall in love with something only to discover that it’s not going to look as you wanted it to in your new home. We have built excellent relationships with our suppliers who will happily work with us when things like this occur. We will always work with you to find the optimum outcome.

Generally, through construction, it’s important to meet every couple of weeks, particularly at critical stages of the build.

Put simply, no you don’t. Because of our all inclusive philosophy, we include for you, not only the costs associated with these services, but we also arrange when inspections are required so you don’t have to worry about any of these details.

Absolutely. Homeowner’s Warranty (HOW) Insurance, which is a Government requirement,  provides the client with peace of mind, that in the unlikely event that a builder is unable to complete your home, then the HOW Insurance will ensure your home is completed. Peninsula Homes HOW Insurance is provided by Calliden Insurance Ltd. We also carry comprehensive Public Liability and Construction insurance.

The appropriate licence is absolutely imperative. Peninsula Homes Builders Licence Number is 216074C. You can always check the validity of a  builders’ licence via The NSW Office of Fair Trading by logging onto www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au.

Peninsula Homes are also a proud member of the Master Builders Association (MBA) and use their Residential Building (BC4) Contract for all our clients, so you know you have peace of mind with a regulated industry standard contract.

We can build on any block. Being a local northern beaches builder, we have a wealth of experience building on sloping sites. Couple this with our ability to custom design your home to work with the slope of the land and your sloping block can actually become a feature of your home.

Yes. Peninsula Homes will design your home to work in a passive environmental manner. This has the effect of you needing to use less mechanical heating and cooling. A home also basking in natural light will not need lights on during the day. Intelligent design will bring all of these energy efficient elements together.

To further compliment the design, we make the best practical use of the latest technologies and inclusions. This can range from the most obvious items like solar panels, LED lights, efficient gas hot water all the way through to the Earthwool insulation used in the walls and ceiling and the methods we use to install external claddings. Peninsula Homes is also an accredited Master Builders Green Living builder.

We employ the services of an interior designer who will work with you to co-ordinate the desired finished look of your new home. They can assist you in external finishes and roofing colours, right through to the finer details of your kitchen, bathrooms and flooring. This is not just a one-off meeting either. This service provides you with complete colour and design finishes all presented on a colour board so you can see all your selections together. This provides not only peace of mind, but also takes the guess work out of whether all your choices harmonise.
